Sarah Warren's Statement

I am fascinated by the play of color caused by the changing seasons and weather patterns: designs carved by wind on snow and water; the waves and swirls of sandstone in canyon walls; how sunset and sunrise illuminate the clouds; the soft glow of maple buds in the spring; and the way the mountains seem to disappear into the distance and blend with the clouds on a humid summer day.

I hope that through my weavings I can share some of the peace and well-being I feel sitting on a mountain-top, gazing at distant peaks and ridges, watching soaring kestrels at play on the thermals that rise from the valley below.
